Women's Liberation and the Dialectics of Revolution

This rich collection of 35 years of Raya Dunayevskaya's writings, based on active participation , correspondence, interviews, and meetings, develops the dialectics of revolution which emerges from masses in motion, including not only women and men, but all the forces  — youth, the black dimension, as well as women's liberation. What Raya Dunayevskaya sees as crucial is the missing link of philosophy in revolutions, both in theory and in fact. She traces the dialectics of revolution beginning in the late 19th century, and analyzes the revolutions of our day from Africa to China, from Portugal to Iran, and from Latin America to Poland. The new passions and forces that have arisen in the post-World War II world are shown as disclosing what the author calls "the movement from practice that is itself a form of theory."
