Usha Ganguli
Usha Ganguli (1945–2020) was an Indian theatre director-actor and activist, best known for her work in Hindi theatre in Calcutta from the 1970s till the 2010s. She founded the Rangakarmee theatre group in 1976, renowned for its productions such as Mahabhoj, Rudali, Court Martial and Antaryatra. She was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1998 for her play Himmat Mai, based on Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage and Her Children.
