Malini Bhattacharya (b. 1943) retired as Professor of English and Director, School of Women’s Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She is a well-known activist in the women’s movement, and is President of the All India Democratic Women’s Association. She is a prolific author, translator, playwright, and poet.
