Rohan Shivkumar

Rohan Shivkumar is an architect and urban designer based in Mumbai. He has studied at L.S. Raheja College of Architecture, Mumbai for his GD Arch. and at the University of Maryland , USA for his Masters in Regional and International Studies in Architecture. He has worked as Project coordinator for the Church gate Revival project and the Tourist District project with the UDRI and studies concerning Slum Rehabilitation and open space regulations with groups concerned with development in Mumbai. He was part of the Heritage Listing project with the UDRI, a project by the MMR-Heritage Conservation Society. He is the Deputy Director of Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environment Studies and is currently also the coordinator of the Research and Design Cell. He has been teaching since 1997, and is involved in the Design and Theory of Design courses in KRVIA. He also conducts an elective based on Architectural Theory at KRVIA. He has written for A+D, IAB and Art India magazines and is currently involved in a project titled ‘Cinema – City’, an initiative of Majlis.
